Must have expertise with business applications (SAP & Ariba). Bachelor's degree in relevant area of focus preferably in product related supply chain, procurement, finance, or logistics procurement functions. Run data & Spend reports from SAP ERP system. May lead work activities of others, coordinating daily activities and providing training, coaching and guidance. Communicates with related areas to coordinate work. 
Participates in projects to implement initiatives identifies project opportunities generates ideas and solutions. Provide root cause investigation, recommend, and execute corrective actions. Communicate issues and resolutions to necessary stakeholders. Troubleshoot problems with delivery, price, and quality of material implement solutions or recommend solutions to appropriate source resolution. 
Ensure that suppliers meet or exceed contractual commitments, and that correct optimal prices are paid for materials and services. Audit supplier order confirmations against Purchase orders for item, delivery date, quantity, ship to and pricing. Add new vendors, catalogs (electronic & CIF) to Ariba. Create contracts, BPO's utilizing Ariba. Drive standardization, compliance, and utilization of the P2P tool. Initiate and lead continuous improvement initiatives for Procure to Pay activities. Monitor the departments "Daily To Do' list, which includes Ensure that all PR's are approved & expedited and adhoc orders are checked & processed correctly, Invoices in Reconciling Status are corrected & readied for payment. Provide recommendations on opportunities to utilize Ariba contracts to gain proficiencies within procurement operations. Provide guidance and support to the Ariba enablement team and Catalog Manager on recommended suppliers to integrate, in addition to other catalog management activities. Provide end user support for the Ariba P2P Buying & Invoicing processes. You will also be responsible for gathering data & running reports from the Ariba system & the SAP ERP system. You will drive best practices and provide guidance to end users on how to best utilize the tool. As the Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for Purchase to Pay (P2P) activities performed within Ariba.
